The Weber County Sheriffs Mounted Posse is a non-profit organization that has been serving Weber County and surrounding areas since 1942. For the past 70 years these men and women have helped in civil defense, search & rescue, crown control, presidential & VIP escorts and as Public Relation Ambassadors for the Weber County Sheriff. They have helped the Junior Posse, Freedom Riders, Youth Rodeo, 4-H, Miss Rodeo Ogden and Miss Rodeo Utah. The posse spend countless hours promoting and encouraging proper horse care and ownership. They are best known for their high speed mounted drill that they have performed in rodeos throughout the West, and the Stagecoach Robbery at the kickoff of Ogden Pioneer Days.
The Weber County Sheriffs Mounted Posse is lead by Captain Robert Armstrong.
